Summer is on the horizon at last with the promise of blue skies, sunshine and outdoor fun. At this time of year, many will be thinking about where to host corporate summer parties and team away days. We’ve some locations that we think are simply fantastic summer venues, so why not take a look?
London
Always on our summer venue list for large events in London is London’s highest public garden, Sky Garden. This can be hired exclusively for enjoyment by up to 600 guests, or for up to 250 guests, the dedicated event platform, City Garden on level 36 is perfect. The Garden contains observation decks, an open-air terrace, two restaurants, a bar and an uninterrupted panorama of the city’s skyline. Fabulous for summer parties, networking events or large conferences.
Another of our choice London retreats is the peaceful tranquility of the Conservatory at Grange White Hall. Here up to 50 delegates can attend informal meetings or events in a relaxed environment with loads of natural daylight. Attractive private gardens are also available for teambuilding activities.
For fun in the sun what could be better than sipping colourful cocktails as you curl your toes into the sand right in the centre of London? The annual pop up Beach Bar at Montague on the Gardens opens once more on 1st June 2019 and is perfect for a summer party for up to 200 guests. Relax in the sunshine, surrounded by palm trees, whilst the BBQ sizzles away! If you wish to move inside once night falls, the venue has rooms that are perfect for just that purpose too!
Manchester
A great summer venue in Manchester, the beautiful King Street Townhouse dates back to 1872. With its clean, crisp décor, the hotel has the perfect balance between traditional architecture and modern interior design. The sixth-floor South Terrace can accommodate up to 150 for lavish BBQ parties. What more perfect way to do a networking event with excellent views of the city?
Another of Manchester’s summer venues with definite ‘wow factor’ is 20 Stories. Set in the buzzing Spinningfields district, its elevated position makes the perfect setting for a rooftop restaurant bar and terrace area. For large corporate parties, speak to our experts about exclusive hire; 20 Stories can accommodate up to 600 guests in utter style.
Birmingham
For summer events in Birmingham it’s hard to beat the splendid Botanical Gardens. This venue offers a range of event spaces, one of which can accommodate up to 500 guests. Filled with natural daylight, sprung floors, a stage at one end and all the AV you could require, the Terrace Suite is perfect for any kind of event, from private parties to large conferences & training days. Soak up the beauty of the gardens during refreshment breaks, or arrange a Summer BBQ or dinner to round off a day of meetings, exclusively designed by the Gardens’ award winning chefs.
Bristol
A venue with a more industrial feel can be found at MShed, Bristol, a former 1950s transit shed and now a modern museum telling the story of Bristol. Sit back and soak up the sun on the roof top terrace whilst enjoying views overlooking the harbor and city. Treat your guests to the summer party package, which celebrates all that the West Country has to offer, including local ciders, live bands and great food.
Snowdonia
Think summer, think surf and, in the case of this venue, think Snowdonia! As well as a 300m artificial surf lagoon, the amazing Surf Snowdonia at Adventure Parc Snowdonia has two flexible event and function spaces for up to 20 or 130 people, where events can spread outdoors overlooking the lagoon. This venue is also perfect for team-building. Activities on offer include surf lessons, a ‘Crash & Splash’ water-based assault course and stand up paddle and canoe safaris, with ‘Pick & Mix’ corporate packages available. Heated wooden glamping pods are also available on site for overnight accommodation. This is an experience your team won’t ever forget!
