Back in May, Cath Sloan and Chelsea Mould, both from our Finance team, were invited to a family day at Center Parcs Sherwood forest. They were shown around the park before being able to sample the facilities themselves. With so much to offer, we asked them to report back on their recommendations for corporate events at Center Parcs.
“This is a great option for both conferences and team-building days, or a combination of the two! The large conference room, which can accommodate up to 550 delegates, makes this a great venue for a large event, with plenty of break out spaces. Although the site is often busy with holidaymakers, the corporate facilities are tucked away, so that’s not an issue. What’s more, the wide range of on-site activities which can be incorporated into a fun fill team building away day. Treetop walks and zip lines looked like thrilling fun!”
“The Treehouse Lodges are very picturesque and have up to six bedrooms. These secluded settings would be a great base for a strategy getaways. I could really see a small team focusing and bonding in this setting. The more private and executive accommodation is always in high demand, so it’s advisable to book well in advance.”
“The park has lovely spots for outdoor lunches or picnics, and also can host events within its restaurants. The Sports Bar is nice area for evening time, which has sofas in front of large TV screens. They have an American dinner style restaurant that is directly attached to the conference venue area. This can be used for either buffet style lunch as part of the event, or for evening entertainment.”
